Bobby Mack Martin

Bobby Mack Martin of McColl departed this life Tuesday, Janurary 26, 2016 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC. He was 74 years old.  

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Rogers Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Deal officiating and the Rev. Ozzie Deese assisting.  Burial will be at a later date.  There will be a time of visitation Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00, also at the funeral Home.  

Born May 5, 1941 to the late Wilson “Buck” Martin and the late Myrtle Outlaw Martin, Bobby was a lifelong resident of McColl.  After attending McColl High School he served in the United States Air Force for four and a half years.  After serving his country Bobby retired from Galey & Lord with 35 years of dedicated service.  There were many days Bobby would just get out and ride through the country.  He loved swimming in the backyard pool and sitting on the porch in his favorite chair in the sun.  But it was his family, and especially his grandchildren, who were the light in his eyes.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Ann Martin.

To cherish his memory he leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Patricia “Ann” Jones Martin; four sons, Bobby Martin, Jr. and fiance’ Julie of Augusta, GA, Michael Lee Martin, Mitchell Ray Martin, and Tony Lee Martin, all of McColl; two daughters, Donna Marie Martin Bailey and husband Charles of Bennettsville and Kelly Ann Martin Britt and husband Steve of McColl; grandchildren Lindsey Driggers, Samantha Bailey Williams and husband Matt, Charles Bailey III (Mackey), Steven Britt, Jr. (Bubba), Baley Britt, Peyton Martin, and Zoey Martin; three great-grandchildren, Caroline Johnson, Maddie Johnson, and MJ Williams; a sister, Mary Martin Seales, as well as a host of friends, neighbors, and loved ones who will miss him deeply.
