Christopher "Chris" Locklear passed away, Thursday, March 29, 2018. He was 44.

He was born September 14, 1973 in Bennettsville, SC. He was a son of Mary Jane Locklear Gause and the late Harvey June Gause and the late Claude Edward Locklear. He was a graduate of Marlboro County High School. He was the owner operator of Chris’s Auto Body. He enjoyed cars, especially Ford Mustangs, building engines for drag racing. He cherished his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Locklear Gause; sons, Christian Blayne Locklear of Maxton, NC and Ezra Kane Locklear of Bennettsville, SC; daughters, Kaylan Hammond and husband Brandon of Laurinburg, NC, Ramsi Haire of Bennettsville, SC, and Brianne Quick of Raleigh, NC; sister, Crystal Lynn Caulder and husband Pete of Red Springs, NC; brother, Matthew Locklear and wife Jessica of Pembroke, NC; grandchildren, Kayden Hammonds and Grayson Hammonds; 2 special nieces, Deidra “Deda” Caulder and Courtney “Bugg” Caulder.

He is preceded in death by his fathers listed above and sister Donna Sue Gause.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at McColl Church of God, with burial in Rogers Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Brian Oxendine and Rev. Dr. Puckett. A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Monday, April 2, 2018 at McColl Church of God.

Memorials are suggested to be made in the honor of Chris’s memory to that of one’s choice.
