Edna Jacobs Wallace of Bennettsville, SC passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC. She was 64 years old.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the McColl Church of God and will be officiated by the Rev. Jackie Jacobs. Interment will follow at Rogers Cemetery. The family will receive friends and neighbors Saturday evening, March 5th, from 6:00 – 8:00 at Rogers Funeral Home.
Edna was born February 21, 1952 in Marlboro County, SC to the late Clarence Jacobs and the late Geneva Sweatt Jacobs. She was a homemaker who loved talking to folks and taking rides through the country. Edna loved hamburgers and washing them down with ice cold Coca Cola and listening to Elvis. She also was a collector of Elvis memorabilia. Fishing was another of her favorite pass times.
Along with her parents Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by three sons; Randy Wallace, John Wallace, and Michael Wallace.
She will be remembered with affection by her sons, Robert Outlaw and Cindy Rogers and Paul Perkins and wife Melissa, both of McColl; by her daughters, Carol Ann Blackwell and husband Irby of Laurinburg, NC and Cindy Wallace Griggs and finace’ Robert of Bennettsville; a brother, Bobby Jacobs of Oak Grove, SC and a sister, Patsy Jacobs Gradolf of Bennettsville; seventeen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, neighbors, and friends who will miss her.
