Mr. George Thomas (Tom) Hank Williams, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Pruitt Health in Rockingham, NC, after an illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Marlboro County, SC, on June 20, 1944, he was a son of the late John C. Williams, Sr. and Ruth White Williams. He was a former dispatcher for the Town of McColl and was of the Holiness faith. He had deep love for Hank Williams country music, enjoyed fishing, playing pinball machines, shooting pool, watching westerns and wrestling.

He is survived by brothers, Gene (Mary) Williams of McColl and Elbert Williams of Laurinburg, NC; a sister, Betty Johnson of McColl; also by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Rogers Funeral Home with burial following in Rogers Cemetery. The Rev.’s Steve Powell and Donald Deal will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4-5 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents listed above; three brothers, Billy Williams, John C. Williams, Jr. and Clarence Everette “Buddy” Williams; and by two sisters, Geneva Smith & Christine Clark.

The family would like to thank his niece & her family, Steve & Joan Powell & Johnna Patterson for being his caregivers throughout the past several years.
