Mrs. Ila B. Hubbard, 81, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 1, 1935 in McColl SC, she was a daughter of the late William D. and Beulah Parrish Rodgers. She married Charles V. Hubbard on July 24, 1955. Mrs. Hubbard was retired from the Marlboro County Health Department where she served as a counselor with the WIC program. She was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church in Bennettsville.  Her hobbies included yard work, working in her flowers, crocheting, knitting and crafts.

Surviving are her husband, Charles V. Hubbard; son, Robert G. Hubbard, Sr. and wife Rebecca of Tatum, SC; sister, Geraldine Scism and husband John of Bennettsville; sister in law, Shirley Rodgers of Deland, FL; grandchildren, Eric Hubbard and wife Megan, Sydney Clark and Kelsey Clark; great grandchildren, Carlin Hubbard and Hayden Hubbard; Nieces, Phyllis D. Carter, Jimmie A. White, Mary C. Rodgers, Elaine Holland, Donna Lawrence, Elizabeth Scism, Karen Truesdale, BeBe R. Green and Denise R. Milligan; nephews, David Rodgers, Joe Rodgers, Sam Burroughs, Roger Burroughs, Grady Ricks and Ronnie Baucom.

Mrs. Hubbard was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Vernon Hubbard, Jr.; grandson, Robert Glenn Hubbard, Jr.; brothers, James Rodgers, Paul Rodgers, William “Bud” Rodgers, Jr., Chester Rodgers; sisters, Marie Baucom, Virginia Ricks, Annie Pearl Douglas, Willie May Burroughs.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Tatum Cemetery in Tatum, SC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the cemetery.
