Mrs. Irene Christmas Williams, 78, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at McLeod Health in Cheraw.
Born November 11, 1938 in Dillon, she was a daughter of the late Ambrose C. Christmas, Sr. and Pauline Hayes Christmas. She was retired from C & M Corporation and was a graduate of Dillon High School.
She is survived by: a son, David W. Williams and partner Michael Collinsof Bennettsville; a daughter, Joan M. (John) Berube of Lincolnton, New Hampshire; a grandson, Christopher B. Williams of Connecticut and a great-granddaughter, Kelly Williams of Connecticut; step-father, James Chavis of Bennettsville; step-sister Sandra Williams of Bennettsville; also a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; husband, George E. Williams; son, John E. Williams, a brothers, Ambrose C. “Sonny” Christmas, Jr. and Roger “Butch” William Christmas; a sister, Edna “Peachie” Chavis.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 at Rogers Funeral Home in McColl, burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Rogers Funeral Home.
