Mr. James Edward Beasley, age 64, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 after an illness.
Born in Bennettsville, SC, on January 5, 1951, he was the son of the late James Allen Beasley and Hester May Sanders Beasley. He was of the Baptist faith and was a self-employed painter. He enjoyed watching NFL football and his favorite team was the Washington Red Skins. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan and his favorite drivers were Jimmy Johnson and the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He attended the Billy Graham Center for Evangelism.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Peele Beasley of the home in McColl; by sons, James Timothy “Tim” Beasley (Tasha Leviner) of McColl and Jonathan Eugene “John” Beasley (Amanda Williamson) of McColl; by daughters, Terry Hamm (Pastor John Hamm) of Clover, SC, Cindy Rogers (Robert Outlaw) of McColl and Windy Taylor (Phillip Steen) of McColl; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Rogers Funeral Home with burial following at Rogers Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Wilkes and Rev. John Hamm will officiate. Family visitation will be held from 6-8P.M. on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Rogers Funeral Home.
