Mrs. Janet Taylor Nicholson of McColl passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, October 21, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was 58 years old.
A time of visitation and remembrance is planned for Friday, October 23, 2015 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home.
Born in Marlboro County, SC on April 20, 1957 to the late Harold and Christine Taylor, Mrs. Nicholson was a lifelong resident of McColl. She spent her working years as a machine operator in the textile industry and she enjoyed cooking for her family and neighbors and spending time with them. However, the light in her eyes was her two grandchildren, Kinston and Kenley Chavis.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Nicholson was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Taylor and Kenneth Taylor.
To cherish her memory Janet leaves behind two sons, Jimmy Jones and wife Cassidy of McColl and Kevin Brigman of Laurel Hill; a daughter, Jamie Martin of the home; a brother, Marty Taylor and Sally of Pembroke and a sister, Christy Barfield and husband Roy, of Tatum; her two grandchildren, Kinston and Kenley, and a host of loved ones, friends and neighbors.
The family would also like to extend its warm and sincerest appreciation to nurses and staff of Hospice of South Carolina for their tender and loving care.
