Kenneth Alan Love

SFC (Retired) Kenneth Alan Love, 51, died suddenly at his home on Thursday, April 27, 2017.

He was the son of Margaret Allen Love and the late Lonnie K. “Buggs” Love and grandson of maternal grandparents Virginia and Ross Allen and paternal grandparents Daniel Lee and Jessie B. Love.

He was retired from service with the U.S. Army where he served as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne. He served in Italy and also served as an Army Recruiter in Detroit Michigan. He retired from the Army National Guard in April 2015 and was currently employed with Domtar Paper Company.

He is survived by his mother of Tatum; aunts, Nancy Gainey of Aiken, Peggy Luther (Terry) of Greenville, and an uncle, Leon Love (Marcella) of Laurinburg; cousins, Keith Norris, Missy Chastain, Tonya Gainey, Jeffrey Love, Jennifer Love, Marshall Walters, Penny Brisson; and great-aunt, Jeanette Shankle.

He was preceded in death by his father listed above, sister Kim, grandparents, and two uncles.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017at Bennettsville First Church of the Nazarene. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the church, followed by burial with military rites at Rogers Cemetery.
