Laura Jane Locklear Roscoe, 52, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. after a brief illness. Born April 28, 1965 in Clio, SC she was a daughter of the late Versa Mae Taylor Locklear. She was a former machine operator with Essex Wire in Bennettsville and she attended Melanie Land Faith Chapel in Little Rock, SC. Laura enjoyed and loved her children and grandchildren. She loved her pets especially her dog Chico Bob Roscoe. She enjoyed helping others as often as possible, she was also kind hearted and a joy to be around.

Surviving are: her sons, Donnie Dewayne Roscoe (Tanya) of Jacksonville, NC and Jeff Julius Roscoe (Jordan) of McColl; her husband of 34 years, Thomas Jeff Roscoe; brothers, Gilbert Locklear, Lauren W. Locklear (Karo), Carl Locklear (Wendy), Little Lonzie Locklear all of McColl and Johnny Locklear of Bennettsville; sister, Mary Jane Gause of McColl; grandchildren, Madelyn Grace Roscoe, Natalee Faith Roscoe, Sebastian Noah Roscoe and Brooklyn Roscoe.

She was preceded in death by her mother; infant daughter, Roxanne Irene Roscoe; brothers, George Locklear, James Locklear, and Lonzie Locklear; sister, Martha Ann Strickland.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at McColl Church of God, with burial to follow in Hudson Family Cemetery in Hamlet, NC. A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2017 at Rogers Funeral Home.
