Mrs. Margaret Helen Dow Skipper, age 93, passed away late Saturday evening, at Commander Nursing Center in Florence, South Carolina.

Born September 8, 1924 in Chadbourn, North Carolina, Mrs. Skipper lived in McColl, SC for 50 years before moving to Tatum, SC in 1969. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Skipper was employed with Hanes Hosiery for ten years. She was a very kind and loving person. She was a member of the Bennettsville Church of God, and a former member of the McColl Church of God.

She is survived by her daughter, Frankie Delane Dugan (Clyde) of Tatum, SC, a son, Charles E. Skipper (Sonya) of Sunbury, PA; nine grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Henry Fernie Skipper, in 1992; as well as her parents, a son, John F. Hayes, and three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Rogers Funeral Home with a visitation taking place just prior to the service at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Beaver Dam Cemetery in McColl. Rogers Funeral Home is honored to serve the Skipper family.
