Mr. Tony Glenn Scott, age 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, surrounded by his loving family after an illness.

He was born July 2, 1957, at Fort Rucker ARMY Base in Ozark, Alabama, a son of the late Albert Tabor Scott, Jr. and JoAnn Player Scott. He was a 1976 Graduate of McColl High School and was of the Baptist faith. While playing High School football for the Red Devils he proudly wore jersey number 31 and in 1974 they won the State Championship. He proudly assisted in coaching  Midget League Football for the Red Devils. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed playing softball. He loved listening to Gospel Music on Sunday mornings and watching Old Classic Westerns. He worked in textiles as a skilled Tow Motor Operator. 

He is survived by two loving daughters, Tonie Lynn Scott and her friend (Robert) of Chesterfield, Jessica Kody Lisenby and her husband Matt of Ruby and by Cadcey "C.C." Chavis of McColl who he helped raise as his daughter; his precious mother, Mrs. Joann Player Scott of McColl; two devoted sisters, Tammy S. Johnson and husband Tony and Teressa S. Oxendine and friend Daniel Page all of McColl; eleven grandchildren, Khloe Rivers, William Scott and Ethan Scott, Kelsey Chavis, Logan, Shauna, Joseph, Asia, Maria, Lillian and Rileigh Rodriguez; nieces & nephews, Tassy Scott, Chasity S. Locklear and husband John and Moses B. Oxendine and friend Samantha Clark; great nieces and great nephews, Alera Locklear, Laiah Locklear, Harley Oxendine, Rilley Oxendine, Brittany Smith and husband William and Austin Scott.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Rogers Funeral Home with burial following in Rogers Cemetery. The Rev. Sampson "Bo" Grooms will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 P.M. on Friday, August 19, 2016.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Avenue, Cincinatti, OH  45229.
