  Mrs. Craddie Lee Clark Lewellen, age 74, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC, after an illness, surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

     Born in Marlboro County, SC, on May 27, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Gordon H. Clark and Lucreatie Jacobs Clark. She worked in textiles at Hanes Hosiery, Ingram and Fieldcrest. She faithfully attended “In God We Trust Ministries” in McColl, and was a member of the Ladies Auxillary until her health would no longer allow her to. She loved to work in her yards, and flowers, and shrubs. She loved her car which she called “Herbie.” She also loved to make lap quilts and curtains for family and friends,

  She is survived by a brother, W.C. Clark of McColl, SC; a sister, Dorine C. Locklear (Neville, Sr.) of McColl, Sc; and a very special  and devoted friend, Maxcy Edward Atkinson and his children; also a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, both in S.C., N.C. and Virginia.

    Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Rogers Funeral Home with burial following at Hickory Grove UMC Cemetery in Clio. The Rev. Ruby Herring will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 7-9 P.M.  at Rogers Funeral Home.

      
   Mrs. Craddie was preceded in death by her parents listed above; by two husbands, Alfonzo Chavis and Roy Lewellen; and by a brother, Alton Clark.

    The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the nurses, doctors, and the home health staff  from Scotland, Marlboro and Moore Counties for the wonderful love and care shown to Mrs.  Lewellen during her illness.
