Sister Annie Elizabeth “Lib” Moore Hopkins, age 80, was welcomed into her Heavenly home of Friday, June 3, 2016, at Scotland Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Born in Marlboro County, SC, on July 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John Moore and Marie Noble Moore. She worked in textile for 40 years with Springs Mills and later worked as a door greeter with Wal-Mart. She enjoyed attending and worshipping at the Oak Hill Church of God and Daniel’s Chapel Holiness Church. She enjoyed watching games shows, especially Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Family Feud and The Price is Right. She was twice married. First to the late Harold “Jack” Quick, Sr. and then to the late William Joseph Hopkins, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory; sons, Harold “Speedy” Quick, Jr. (Mary Ann) of Bennettsville, Ralph Quick (Linda Faye) of McColl, John Quick (Judy) of Bennettsville and William “Bubba” Hopkins, Jr. of McColl; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Daniel’s Chapel Holiness Church with burial following in Rogers Cemetery. The Rev.’s Kenny Bryant and Brian Oxendine will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7-9P.M. on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Rogers Funeral Home in McColl.
