Ms. Essie Mae Roller, 75, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg.

Ms. Roller was born June 2, 1937 in Robeson County to the late Robert “Bob” and Esien Ann Goins Roller. She was a member of Pee Dee Baptist Church and was a retired textile worker from within Marlboro County. Ms. Roller enjoyed spending time with her family, especially fishing and going to the beach. She was especially known for her loving bond with children and enjoyed spoiling them all.

On Saturday evening, Ms. Roller joined the Heavenly Choir leaving behind to cherish her memory: Special nephew, Bobby Roller of the home; special nieces Pamela Jackson and husband Rufus of Society Hill, SC, Renee Lejeune and husband Tony of Aberdeen, NC, Tracy Jacobs-Miles and husband Lucius of Bennettsville, SC and Kelly Smith of McColl, SC; special great-nieces and nephews Frances, Donovan, Alexus, Jessica J., Adrian, DeMarcus, Randall, Tristen, Tavorus, Mirella, Lendra, Jacob, Jessica L., Erica, Lacy, Selena, Shyanne, Ceniyah, Cemiyah, Kylia, JaMarcus, and JaNiahs; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Roller, with whom she always lived, Annie Mae Roller, Mary Roller Oxendine, Margaret Roller Clark, Inez Roller Bethea, and Catherine Roller; brothers, Robert Lee Roller, James Roller, John Archie Roller, and Fuller Roller; and a special niece, Mary Elizabeth Roller Jacobs.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at The McColl Church of God officiated by the Rev. Russ Goins. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. A visitaion will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Rogers Funeral Home.

Bobby, you and your entire family are in our prayers and daily thoughts. Please know we love you and all will miss Essie Mae that knew her; such a sweet and loving lady. It has been a long road for you and your family lately but know that she's not suffering any longer and is with your Mama watching over you - everyday..... Let everyone help you thru this; it means so much when we are hurting. We love y'all and please let us know if you need anything or just want to talk.

QqTo the family of dear Essie Mae....our family knows oh too well the sence of loss of loved ones....we share in your grief...Essie Mae was sooo good to our grandmother,Myrtle Cottingham...She also helped helpes to keep my parents home beautiful. we know yoi will all miss her so we encoirage you all to hold tight to the memories knowing she is resting in the precious arms of Jesus.

Sorry to hear about your aunt Essie. She is now rejoicing with your Mama Ms. Betty. Bobby, you will be blessed for taking care of these ladies and I know your family is so thankful for you. Take Care of yourselves, and may you find strength to get through the rough days ahead.
