Peggy Lou (Johnson) Hatcher

Peggy Lou Johnson Hatcher, age 72 of McColl, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at her residence.

Peggy was born March 7, 1951, in Bennettsville. She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Louise Milligan Johnson. Peggy was a loving mother, with a huge heart. She was always the person the family could depend on. Peggy took care of her family in their times of need. She enjoyed going to the grocery store and shopping. Most of all, Peggy cherished her time spent with her children, grandchildren, and her cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Hatcher; a son, Johnny Graham; brothers, Thomas Johnson, Arthur Johnson, Jr., David Johnson, Randy Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Charles Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Larry Johnson, Tim Johnson; a sister, Melissa Lucy Johnson.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Gary Wayne Turner (Tonya) and James Lee Turner (The late Katrina Wiggins), both of McColl; daughters, Barbara Ann Turner (Reg) of Laurinburg, NC, Tina Hatcher (Elijah) of Bennettsville, and Kim Bethea (Edward) of McColl; brothers, Butch Johnson and Ronnie Johnson, both of McColl; a sister, Betty Hunt of Wagram, NC; grandchildren, Layla Turner, Bridget Turner, Shyan Turner, Brandon Turner, Candice Turner, Branson Turner, Roshawn Davis, Raneeka McKinnon, Reginald McKinnon, Peggy Locklear, Michael Parker, Charity Clark, Erica Outlaw, Jasmine Outlaw, Lizzie Outlaw, Eric Outlaw, Darius Carr, Kimierra Hatcher, BJ Wilson, Shakera Wilson; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Rogers Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3 :00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.
