Mr. Ardis David Johnson, passed away, Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC after an illness. He was 78 years old.
Born in Marlboro County, SC on June 17, 1939. He was a son of the late Lonnie and Macie McCall Johnson. He attended Oak Hill Church of God. He was a self-employed Handy man. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially running his dogs.
He is survived by his son; David Johnson and wife Robbin of Gibson, NC, his brothers; Walker Johnson, Henry “Sug” Johnson, and Jerry Johnson all of McColl, SC, Thurman Johnson and wife Vuhal of Houston, Tx; his grandson; Christopher Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; his brothers, James Johnson and Howard Johnson; his children, Randy Johnson and Catherine Johnson; his nephew Charles Johnson.
A funeral service will be held 2pm on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at McColl Church of God with burial in Rogers Cemetery, Dr. Roy Puckett and Rev. Brian Oxendine will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Friday, October 6, 2017 at McColl Church of God.
