Mrs. Barbara Nash Flowers, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 in Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC after an illness.
Born March 26, 1944 in Denver, CO., she was a daughter of the late Elbert Carl and Esther Hill Nash. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. She was the Safety Coordinator of all West Point/Pepperell companies. She wrote safety programs for OSHA and other companies. She taught for Richmond Community College. She was also an author and singer.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Strickland (Jeannette Stubbs) of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughters, Anita Strickland of McColl, SC and Amanda Peele (James Peele) of Bennettsville, SC; brothers, Jerry Nash of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Patrick Strickland, Miranda Westbay, Whitney Strickland, Christopher Strickland, James Peele, II, Lexus Strickland, Sierra Strickland, and Angelique Razo. 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; granddaughter, Christian Nicole Strickland; brother Elbert Nash.
A funeral service will be held 4:00pm, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Rogers Funeral Home, with burial in Rogers Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Shane Johnson and Rev. Clay Casteel. A visitation will be held from 3-4pm just prior to the service.
