Laurin Johnson, Jr.

Mr. Laurin Johnson, Jr. 76 of McColl passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at his residence

Born April 10, 1942 in Marlboro County,  he was a son of Leona Scott Johnson, and the late Laurin Johnson, Sr.

Laurin was a retired Supervisor of Powell Mfg. Co. of 40 years. One of his greatest passions in life was Fishing. His Favorite spots were the Millpond and Fletchers Pond. He enjoyed watching Football and he loved to Watch Monday Night Wrestling. He enjoyed planting plants watching them grow especially his grapevines. His greatest joy in life above all was spoiling his grand kids and his great grand kids. They were his world.   

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: sons, Bobby Johnson and wife Heather of McColl, Gregory Tim Johnson of McColl; Grandchildren; Bridget Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Bobby G Johnson ll, Harvey June Gause; Great Grandchildren, Natalie Jesslyn Smith, Teagan Moon Johnson and Adam Gause; sisters, Joann Clapper and husband Sonny of San Antonio, Texas, Brenda Kay Johnson of McColl;  & several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by brothers: Charles T. Johnson, Jackie W. Johnson and Jimmy Johnson;  Maternal Grandparents, Israel & Wilda Scott; & Paternal Grandparents, Walker & Beulah Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Rogers Funeral Home, followed by burial at Rogers Cemetery.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to service.
