Mr. Michael Wayne Lambert, Sr. passed away on June 28, 2017. He was 55 years old.
Born on June 28, 1962 in Laurinburg, NC, Michael was a son of the late Willie and Bessie Lowery Lambert. He was employed with Highland Industries as a Loom Technician. As a young man, he attended Sycamore Hill Freewill Holiness Church in Maxton, NC. Michael loved meeting people and making new friends. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed cutting grass, coaching little league baseball, and watching sports on TV. He loved cars and especially loved the smell of a new car. He worked all the time and liked to stay busy. When he wasn’t at his job or taking care of things at home he was faithful to make time to spend with his family. He loved them all dearly.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Kim Tucker Lambert of McColl; sons, Michael Lambert, Jr. (Samantha Inglis), and Jake Lambert of McColl; daughter, Erin Lambert (Michael Boney) of Myrtle Beach; brothers, Willie Ray Lambert, Bill Lambert, Harvey Lee Lambert (Annette), and David Earl Lambert all of Maxton, NC; sisters, Catherine Tyler, Dorothy Woods (A.C.), Betty Clark (Stoney) all of Maxton, NC; and Fannie Jane Lockhart of Burlington, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vernon Lambert; sisters, Marie Lewallen, Virginia Strickland, and Myrtle Brewer.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Burroughs Funeral Home in Bennettsville, followed by burial at Rogers Cemetery in McColl. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. just prior to the service at the funeral home.
