Mr. Michael Lee Rogers, age 53, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC after an illness.
Born in Baltimore City, Maryland, on April 17, 1963, he was son of the late Cecil and Joann Parr Rogers.
Michael proudly served his country in the US Navy and was a skilled iron worker. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid NASCAR fan and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by uncles, Pete (Patricia) Parr of Brownsville, SC, Lowell Frank (Shirley) Parr of Baltimore, Maryland and James Rogers of Lake View, SC.
A Family led Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Pee Dee Tribal Land, 134 Longer Sand Lane, Bennettsville, SC 29512. This is located in the Brightsville Community of Marlboro County.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents listed above; a sister, Denise Rogers Clark; a brother, David Rogers; and by two aunts, Linda Parr Rogers and Sue Shipp.
