Mrs. Lonnie Mae Jones Gashaw, age 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Marlboro County, SC, on March 13, 1941, she was a daughter of the late John Douglas Jones and Margie Milligan Jones. She was a retired textile worker and attended the McColl Church of God. She was married 14 years to the late Hollis Thomas Gashaw.

Her hobbies included cooking, fishing, working in the yard and spending precious time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Terry Ann Gashaw of Dothan, AL, Richard McKay of Sacramento, CA, James Thomas Gashaw (Beth) and, Larry Thomas Gashaw both of McColl, and Nicole Plowman (Howard) of Maxton, NC; brothers, Billy Jones, Johnny Jones, and Ronnie Jones all of McColl; sisters, Catherine Ray (H.B.) and Patricia Ann Martin both of McColl; by grandchildren, Thomas Gashaw, Casey Gashaw, Grayson Gashaw, Mikaela Plowman, Alexis Plowman, Taylor Plowman, Dakota Gashaw, Angela McKay, Melissa McKay and Cherese McKay.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the McColl Church of God, officiated by the Rev.’s Brian Oxendine and Donald Deal. Burial, directed by Rogers Funeral Home will follow in Rogers Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Rogers Funeral Home.

Lonnie Mae was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above; by brothers, Nathan D. Jones, James V. Jones, and Jimmy Jones; by sisters, Elizabeth Jones, Betty Lou Stubbs, and Sara Scott.
