Mrs. Rebecca Flowers, age 77, faithful wife of Bobby Flowers, entered her Heavenly home on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Carolina`s Hospital System in Florence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in McColl, SC, on July 6, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn Weatherly Hutchinson. She graduated from McColl High School and retired from the Marlboro County Public School System as a cafeteria worker. She attended the Blenheim Community Church and devoted her life to serving the Lord. She greatly enjoyed the years she taught Sunday school and was always ready, willing, and able to help serve her church in any way she was needed. She was well-known for her card ministry and as a prayer warrior.

Mrs. Flowers life revolved around her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished the time she had to spend with them. For the past 17 years, she and her daughters designated Monday night as the “girl’s night out for shopping.”  The time she treasured the most was that spent at home talking with her adored husband Bobby.  Above all, she was a wonderful wife, loving mother, and grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord. She enjoyed life to the fullest and loved caring for her family. On December 30 2016, she and her husband celebrated 60 precious years of marriage.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Bobby Flowers of their home in McColl; by sons, Rick Flowers (Wanda) and David Flowers (Tammy) of McColl; daughters, Tammy Wagner (Eddie), and Beth Wallace of McColl, Vashti Summerfield (Brent) of Boiling Springs, SC, Alyce Croke (David) of Laurinburg, NC, and Amanda Williams (Ricky) of Clio; brothers, Alan Deaver (Teresa) and Steve Deaver (Mandy) of Florence; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Rogers Cemetery officiated by Pastor Terry Smith and Rev. Jody Flowers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Burroughs & Cooper Funeral Home in Bennettsville.

She was preceded in death by her mother listed above; her in laws, Colie, and Beatrice Flowers; a son, Daniel L. Flowers; sisters, Diane Beverly and Wanda Dale Perkins; and by great-grandsons, Ricky Bobby Flowers and Parker Lennon Flowers.
