Mrs. Rose Mae Jones Webster, age 82, entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at her home.

Born in Robeson County, NC, on May 11, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Mardell Williams and Beulah Strickland Williams Lowery. She was a member of the Springfield Church of God and the Adults Sunday School Class. She had an extensive career in textile and was supervisor for Marnette Packing Company in Bennettsville. She was also a tenant farmer, caregiver, and a homemaker. She was an animal lover, well known for her delicious cooking, and loved her birds. She also had a green thumb and enjoyed growing tomatoes and vegetables. She enjoyed ferns and will be remembered for her mouthwatering 30 day cakes and 22-layer chocolate cakes and fried green tomatoes.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Alton Webster of the home in McColl; sons, Derry Lowery (Rebecca) of Laurinburg, NC and Chris Webster (Charlotte) of McColl; grandchildren, Phillip Jones (Jennifer) of Laurinburg, Courtney Belcher (Chip), Jonathan Lowery (Sara), Deanna Miceli (Steven), Chris Leviner, Michael Webster (Dolly), Josh Webster and Bryan Webster all of McColl; by sisters, Harriet Hammel (John) of Hickory, NC and Vonnie Maulden (Eddie) of Darlington, SC; a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the Springfield Church of God with burial following at Rogers Cemetery in McColl.  Pastor David Shoemake and Rev. Jerry Springs will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6-8P.M. on Saturday. April 22, 2017 at Rogers Funeral Home in McColl.

Mrs. Webster was preceded in death by her parents, Mardell Williams and Beulah Williams Lowery; a son, George Jones; by sisters, Peggy Hunt (Hughie) & Marguerite Jernigan; by brothers, R.C. Williams, Campbell Lowery and Melvin Williams (Mageline); by a nephew, Ray Dowless and step-father, Clifton Lowery.
