Mr. Nathan Randolph “Randy” Cheek, Sr. passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 after a brief illness. He was 68 years old.
Mr. Randy was born on October 22, 1950 in Bennettsville, SC. He was a son of the late Cecil Hamer and Letha Estelle Fairfax Cheek. He was a member of the United States Air Force. He loved spending time with his family, going to the mountains, where he enjoyed hiking the trails with his children, and listening to music.
He is survived by his; son, Nathan Randolph Cheek, Jr. and wife Maranda; daughters, Kelly Smith, Mandy Thompson, and Angel Smith; brother, Johnny Harold Cheek; sisters, Catherine Darlene Cheek, Tina Cheek Williams (Purnell), and Samantha Cheek Usher (Ricky); grandchildren, Addy Jo Cheek, Emmy Lou Cheek, Nora Rain Cheek, and Nathan Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; wife, Kathy Chavis Cheek; sister, Laura Hamer Cheek; brother, Cecil Eugene Cheek.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
