Mr. Alton Rodrick Bailey passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021 at his residence after an illness. He was 84 years old.

Mr. Alton was born in Dillon County, SC on October 31, 1936 to the late Alvin and Annie Flowers Bailey. He was retired from Gailey & Lord after 20 plus years of dedicated service. He enjoyed watching sports, especially Duke basketball, and spending time with his family.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; wife, Patricia Douglas Bailey; sons, Timothy Bailey and wife Hilda, Jeffery Bailey and wife Crystal, and Rodney Bailey and wife Shannon all of McColl; daughter, Stephania McCollum and husband Brock of McColl; grandchildren, Brett Bailey, Jeana Bailey, Lindsay Grooms, Douglas Bailey, Bryce Bailey, Anna McCollum, and Nora Bailey; great grandchildren, Erin Grooms and Ava Grooms.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; sister, Margie Murrell; brothers, Alvin Buford “AB” Bailey and James Bailey.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, March 29,2021 at Rogers Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Jerry Springs. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
