Mrs. Annie Elizabeth “Lib” Gause, wife to Clarence Gause of 55 years, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Scotland Memorial Hospital after an illness. She was 79 years old.
Mrs. Lib was born in Marlboro County on January 27, 1941 to the late Harry and Aline Jordan Elvis. She was a lifelong member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bennettsville. She was a U.S. Postal Worker, where she retired after 27 years of service. Mrs. Lib enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the greatest gift her heart ever knew.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; husband listed above; son, Alan Gause wife Sandra; daughter, Stephanie G. Baucom husband Doug; grandchildren, Spencer B. Gause and Alaina G. Gause; sister, Lila M. Nash; special aunt, Gertrude Quick.
She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; brother, James H. Elvis; sister, Lorine Richardson.
A funeral service will be held 3pm, Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Burroughs Funeral Home, officiated by Revs. Thomas Buck and Randy Bowers, with burial at Rogers Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Burroughs Funeral Home.
