Cecil Helms

Mr. Cecil Helms, 75, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his home.

 Cecil was born September 13, 1942 in Bennettsville, SC to the late Richard & Myrtle Paul Helms.  He was the owner of Helms Tire and loved to fish.  He also loved farming and spending time with his family.

 Cecil leaves behind to cherish his memory: wife, Mary Frances Cummings Helms, of the home; children, Cecil Ray Helms of McColl, Debbie Helms Johnson of Rockingham, NC, Christopher Lynn Cummings of McColl; brothers, Lonnie “Ral” Helms of Bennettsville; sisters, Theddis Quick, Shirley Helms, Thelma Helms all of Bennettsville; 7 grandchildren & 1 great grandson. 

 He was also preceded in death by parents listed above; a brother, Neil Helms; and a sister, Carolyn Helms English.

 A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the McColl Church of God followed by burial in Rogers Cemetery.

 The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the McColl Church of God.
