Darrell Steve Watson, better known as “Bill”, age 44 of McColl, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, after an extended illness.

Bill was born July 26, 1978, in Bennettsville, SC. He was a son of Cynthia Barfield Horne and the late Wayne Watson. Bill loved sitting outside and fishing. He also enjoyed watching the news and the New York Giants. Most of all, Bill loved spending time with his kids.

Bill is survived by his children, Savannah Cheyenne Watson and Darren Christopher Watson of the home; his mother, Cynthia Barfield Horne (Terry) of Hamer; special friend, Mindie Scott of the home; brothers, Timothy Watson of McColl and Christopher Watson (Alexis) of Goldsboro, NC; sisters, Crystal Watson Brown (Anthony) of McColl and Angela Watson Sanders (Joseph) of Williston; several other extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home, and at all other times at the home, 707 E Gibson Avenue, McColl, SC.

A private interment will take place at a later time.
