Dennis Maxwell Rivenbark, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, N.C after a long battle with ALS.
Dennis was born on March 1, 1962 in Zaragoza, Spain to the late Tsgt. Warden Maxwell Rivenbark and Betsy Delores Long Rivenbark. He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and member of Bristow Freewill Baptist Church in Blenheim. Dennis served his country proudly as a Security Policeman in the United States Air force. After serving in the military, he worked with the Marlboro County Sheriff's Dept. and Bennettsville Police Dept. For the next 20 years he served as a professional truck driver with over a million safe miles. Dennis enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all he loved spending time with his family and fur child Zoe.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Jenny Denise Coon Rivenbark of McColl; son Dennis Matthew Rivenbark (Michelle) of McColl; daughter Michelle Rivenbark Brigman (Malcolm) of Bennettsville; mother-in-law Bobbie Scott Coon; sister Becky Rivenbark Cook (Gary) of Warsaw; grandchildren Jason Townsend, Jenna Rivenbark, Chloe, Rylan, Ellie, and soon to be born Josie Brigman; brother-in-law James Stephen Livingston (Cindy); sisters-in-law Debbie Lear (Mike), and Connie Sweatt (Tommy).
Dennis was preceded in death by his loving parents listed above and father-in-law Sfc. James D. Coon.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Rogers Cemetery in McColl, SC at 1 p.m. The service will be officiated by Rev. Jerry Springs.
