Diego Pierce Scott, age 25 of McColl, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at his residence.

Diego was born April 16, 1998, in Cheraw, SC. He was a son of Rodney K. Williams and the late Donna Lynn Scott. Diego was a fun-loving person. He enjoyed joking around with his friends. He was an avid video gamer. Diego also loved to collect Marvel Comics action figures. Most of all, Diego enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his mother, Diego was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Williams, and his maternal great grandparents, Donald and Mary Scott.

Diego is survived by his father, Rodney K. Williams of Rocky Mount, NC; a brother, Amarus Williams of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his sisters and best friends, Seqouia Wright of McColl, Kierrah Wright of McColl, Rosalyn Whitehead of Rocky Mount, NC, and Amaryah Williams of Roanoke Rapids, NC; maternal grandparents, Michael and Lynn White of McColl, Clay and Cathy Locklear all of McColl; paternal grandfather, Robert Lee Williams, of McColl; several other extended family members also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Eastside Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service in Rogers Cemetery.
