Dorothy “Faye” Boykin Stubbs passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Scotland Memorial Hospital. She was 66 years old.
Born in Bennettsville, SC on November 4, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Virginia Cribb Boykin. She attended Peace Holiness Church in Gibson and loved the Lord and her church family. She was married to the late Bobby M. Stubbs. Faye had a love for God’s creation and enjoyed spending time outdoors. She loved nature and especially loved the beach. She loved to cook and was very creative. She enjoyed drawing, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She loved to share her passion for these things by teaching others to do them. Time with her family was especially dear to her. She especially enjoyed spending time with her great- grandchild, Lucius Stubbs. She will be dearly missed.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents listed above; a husband listed above; sisters, Mary Boykin Pay, Wendy Boykin Stanton, Dale Boykin Hubbard; and stepbrother, Aubrey Price.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: son, Bobby M. Stubbs, Jr. of McColl, SC; daughter, Denise Stubbs Sirkin (Robert) of Casselberry, FL.; brother, Robert Boykin of Four Oaks, NC; sisters, Patricia Boykin (Gerald Gause) of McColl, SC; Patsy Boykin and Gloria Dean Mass, both of Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren Selena Stubbs, Ruth Goulding Sirkin, Dominic Sirkin; and great-grandchild, Lucius Ethan Stubbs.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the McColl Church of God, followed by burial at Rogers Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. just prior to the service.
