Douglas “Dougie” Wade Stubbs, 66, of McColl, SC went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Dougie was born in Scotland County, NC a son of the late Chalmers Stubbs and the late Wilma Jane Parker Stubbs. He was a devoted member of Peace Holiness Church in Gibson, NC and enjoyed fellowshipping with everyone who walked through the doors. Dougie was a devoted and loving husband, father and papa. He worked in textile/manufacturing for over 40 years and retired in 2019. Mr. Stubbs enjoyed playing golf, bowling, horseshoes, and tennis. He loved his sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys, South Carolina Gamecocks, Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Dodgers.   

Dougie is preceded in death by his parents, Chalmers and Wilma Jane Stubbs; seven brothers, Billy Stubbs, Calvin Stubbs, Parker Stubbs, Bootie Stubbs, Jimmy Stubbs, James Stubbs and Bobby Stubbs; and three sisters, Rosa Knight, Dorothy Atkinson and Wanda Brown.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Teresa Caulder Stubbs of McColl; three children, D.J. Stubbs (Shanna) of Dillon, Jason Stubbs (Krystal) of McColl and Samantha Stubbs of Laurel Hill, NC; three brothers, Vernon Stubbs (Jewel) of Rockingham, NC, Clifton Stubbs of McColl and Tommy Stubbs (Laura) of McColl; a sister, Alice Caulder of Bennettsville; six grandchildren, Jason Stubbs, Jr, Rebecca Stubbs, Ashlyn Stubbs, Grayson Stubbs, Fallon Stubbs and Kayleigh Odom; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, January 31, 2022 at Rogers Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Peace Holiness Church in Gibson, NC. Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery.
