Dwayne Edward “2 Wayne” Barrington, 55, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC.

Born March 31, 1964 in Bennettsville to Bobby Edward and Christine Pevey Barrington. Dwayne graduated from McColl High School in 1982 and later received his assoiciates degree from Chesterfield-Marlboro Technical College. He attended Shady Grove Baptist Church and worked as an electrician with South Electrical in Laurinburg, NC. He enjoyed fishing, wood burning, and painting art. He loved listing to music, especially Dave Matthews Band which was his favorite. He also enjoyed sports, his favorite teams were UNC Tarheels and the Chicago Bears. Most of all he loved grilling and sharing dinner with family and friends.

Dwayne leaves to cherish his memory to his parents listed above, brother, Anthony Barrington (Lori) of Cheraw; sisters, Lynn Barrington of Bennettsville, April Barrington (Emily) of Bennettsville; 5 grandchildren, and 10 nieces and 4 nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Rogers Funeral Home and burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 - 3:00 PM prior to the funeral at Rogers Funeral Home.
