Elizabeth “Tootsie” Williams Johnson passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at her residence after an illness. She was 80 years old.
Tootsie was born in McColl, SC on May 6, 1944, to the late Ed and Sadie Butler Williams. She was a member of McColl Church of God. She loved working in the church, canning vegetables and fruits, and spending time with her sisters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; sons, Keith Evans Johnson of Bennettsville, SC; daughters, Gloria Brown of High Point, NC and Cindy Goodwin (John) of McColl, SC; sisters, Mary Locklear, Margalene Lee, and Virginia Williams; grandchildren, Rebecca Ransom (Kevin), Dylan Johnson (Victoria), Elainey Johnson, and Kyleigh Johnson; great grandchildren, Jayse Barfield and Kaysen Ransom; special friend, Bobby Flowers; special caretakers, Sara Ott, Drenna Sotherland, and Crystal Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; husband, Walker Evans Johnson; son, Charles Evans Johnson; sisters, Shelby Grooms and Ester Skipper; brothers, Floyd Williams, Bill Williams, and Russell Williams.
A funeral service will be held at 3pm, Friday, April 18, 2025, at McColl Church of God, officiated by Rev. Donald Deal, with burial at Rogers Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2-3 pm at the church just prior to the service.
