Mrs. Ella Scott Cummings passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 17, 2021. She was 65 years old.

Born January 6, 1956, in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Mary Anna Thompson Oxendine Scott. Ella was a member of the McColl Church of God. She was retired from Campbell Soup Company in Maxton, NC. She enjoyed her life and her family. She loved to shop, especially online shopping and enjoyed riding around her neighborhood on her golf cart. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She will be dearly missed.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents listed above; son, Randy Lynn Johnson; daughter, Mary Lynn Johnson; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Sanford Cummings of McColl; son, Dylan Shane Johnson of McColl; daughters, Amy Norris of Laurinburg, Shannon Cummings Hatcher (Michael) of Laurinburg, Louann Ostrum (Thomas) of Michigan, Rene Cummings of McColl, Lynn Cummings of McColl; brothers, Ennis Scott (Teressa) of Hartsville, Frank Scott, Jr. of Wagram, James Robert Scott (Linda) of Shannon; sisters, Mary Jane Goins of McColl, Bernice Williams (Lee) of Wagram, Pearlie Rogers (Tommy) of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Joey, Dalton, Keith, Jessica, Smurf, Thomas, Sasha, Trey, Rose, Joshua, Daylan; 19 great-great grands; and many other beloved family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at the McColl Church of God. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday, June 21, 2021, at the church.
