Mrs. Elsie Mae Scott, age 88, passed away at her residence on Friday, May 31, 2019.
Born July 30, 1930 in Tatum, SC to the late Lonnie and Ella Clark Coble. She retired from Oak River Mills in Bennettsville and was a devoted member of McColl Church of God. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and fishing.
Mrs. Scott is preceded in death by her parents listed above, brothers, Lee Coble, Jessie Maynor and Otis Coble, a sister Lula Thompson.
Mrs. Scott is survived by a daughter, Betty Ann Oxendine Young of Bennettsville; sisters, Edna Jacobs of High Point, NC.; brothers, Blease Coble of Bennettsville, R.B. Coble of McColl; grandchildren, Kim Young Covington (Brute) of Bennettsville, Jennifer Young (Joe) of Bennettsville, Allen Bavender of Winston Salem, NC.; great grandchildren, Shane Skipper, Chandler Odom, Bryce Odom, Gage Odom and Peyton Roberts; great great grandchildren, Jaelynn Skipper and Kaidyn Skipper.
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 6-8 PM at McColl Church of God. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 2, 2019 at McColl Church of God with burial following at Rogers cemetery.
