Elva (Clark) Cummings

Elva Clark Cummings, age 81 of McColl, passed away to her Heavenly home on May 5, 2022.

Elva was born January 26, 1941 in Marlboro County, a daughter of the late William and Allie Mae Medline Clark. She was a textile worker who retired from Champion after many years of service. Elva was a faithful member of the McColl Church of God. She was a very humble and giving person. She loved taking care of people. Elva enjoyed spending time with her family on trips to the mountains and White Lake. Most of all, Elva was a forgiving person who showed the love of Christ in her daily life.

Elva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arlee Cummings; her daughter, Rosa Lee Cummings; siblings, Roger Clark, Zachariah Clark, and Elizabeth Prevatte.

Elva is survived by her granddaughters, Domonique "Nikki" Cummings of Greensboro, NC and Rose Ann Cummings of McColl; great grandson, Dominic Cummings of McColl; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 3:00 PM at the McColl Church of God. Burial will follow the service at Rogers Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service.
