Ernest Wayne Bundy passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at Scotland Memorial Hospital after an illness. He was 83 years old.

Wayne was born in Hamlet, NC on August 10, 1939, to the late George Robert “Bob” Beck and the late Lennie Marie Bundy. He was a member of the Ghio Holiness Church. He served in the United States Army and the United States Army National Guard. He was a machine operator in the manufacturing industry. He loved being in Church and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his; wife, Rosetta Bass Bundy; daughter, Deborah Bundy Ellington and husband James; sisters, Mavis Ann Beck Getsinger and Linda Marie Stubbs; grandchildren, Savannah E. Johnson and husband Aaron, Leah E Howell and husband Jeremiah, Carson James Ellington, and Connor Wayne Ellington; great grandchild, Ruby Rose Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; son, Johnny Wayne Bundy; brothers, Robert Eston Beck and Carie Allen Beck; sister, Patsy Iris Beck.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Friday, February 11, 2022, at Ghio Holiness Church,19805 Guinns Mill Road, Laurel Hill, NC, 28351,with burial in the church cemetery, officiated by Rev. Terry Jordan. A visitation will be held from 1-2 pm just prior to the service at the church.
