Mrs. Ethel Lee Clark Bryant, age 88, beloved widow of the late Arthur Bryant, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Dundee Manor in Bennettsville surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Chadbourn, NC on November 9, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Lyn Clark and Hattie Mae Chavis Clark. She was a member of the Gibson Pentecostal Holiness Church for (40 + years) and was a homemaker and a farmer. She loved her church and her family, enjoyed quilting and sewing, loved talking and never met a stranger.
She is survived by special cousins, Catherine (Terry) DeBerry, Ann (Bill) Taylor, Belton Chavis, James (Cynthia) Chavis, Howard (Barbara) Chavis all of Gibson, NC and Charles Chavis of Hamlet, NC; a host of other cousins and friends; her canine friend, Clovis.
Mrs. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above; and by her infant brother, Horace Clark.
The family would also like to mention her close friends, Johnny & Vonda Miller of Latta, her CNA and Caregiver, Betty Littles of Bennettsville, Mae Scott of Gibson and all of her Breckinridge Apartments family in McColl.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Gibson Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by the Rev.'s Joel Quick and Thomas Buck. Burial, will follow at the Pine Crest Cemetery in Gibson, NC. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Gibson Pentecostal Holiness Church from 7-9 P.M.
The family is receiving friends at the home of her cousin, Catherine (Terry) DeBerry, 13660 Frances Street, Gibson, NC 28343.
