Ettie Mae Jackson, age 63 of McColl, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, after an extended illness.
Ettie was born May 13, 1960, in Bennettsville. She was a daughter of the late Louis V. and Eloise Ellis Jackson. Ettie was homemaker. She retired from Nic’s Pik Kwik as a store manager after twenty years. Ettie enjoyed reading and fishing. She was also a faithful supporter of St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Most of all, Ettie loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Ettie was preceded in death by a son, Johnny H. Brown, Jr. and a brother, Luther Jackson.
Ettie is survived by her long time companion Don Locklear; her sons, Louis A. Jackson and Luther A. Jackson, both of McColl; a daughter, Katesha L. Locklear, of Laurinburg, NC; sisters, Ella Mae Hubbard of Wallace, Marlene Mace of McColl, and Darlene Taylor of Laurinburg, NC; eighteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home. A burial will follow the service in Rogers Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, in the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home.
