Frances Grooms Goins

Mrs. Sara Frances Grooms Goins, 78, departed this life August 9, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.

Born April 1, 1940 in Marlboro County, Frances was a daughter of the late John & Beulah Caulder Grooms.  She attended the  United Christian Faith Holiness Church and loved attending cottage prayer meetings on Friday evenings. 

Frances was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family which was shown in the meals she would cook for her family or anyone who would come by.  She was also an avid gardener.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory husband, Curley Goins of the home; sons, Michael G. Goins & wife Shirley, Charles R. Goins all of McColl; daughter, Lisa Jacobs of McColl; brothers, Dewey L. Grooms, John E. Grooms both of McColl; sister, Annie Ruth Clark of McColl; grandchildren, Sheena Bryant & husband Elliott, Michael Goins, Robert Beverly, David Goins, Andrew Goins, Sara Johnson;  great-grandchildren Kayla Bryant, & Noah Goins.

She was also preceded in death by brother, James T. Grooms, & sisters, Dorothy Milligan, Shirley Mae Coyle.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, August 12, 2018 at McColl Church of God followed by burial in Rogers Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, August 11, 2018 at McColl Church of God.
