Gerald Joseph Vigie, age 83 of McColl, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at his residence.

Gerald was born August 24, 1941, in Maringouin, LA. He was a son of the late Versie and Lena Politto Vigie. He worked many years as a machinist. Gerald was a unique individual. He was an animal lover and an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching sporting events on television.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandie Jo Vigie.

Gerald is survived by his children: Regina Dupuis, Julie Huizar, Charlotte Hoffman-Baudoin, Renee Mather, Gaylan Armand, Anthony McGuirk; stepdaughter, Lori Clark; brother, Versie Vigie, Jr; several grandchildren and extended family members.

A memorial service to honor Gerald’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2024, at Rogers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

A private burial will take place at a later time.
