Gilbert Leonard Locklear, 51, of McColl, SC passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Scotland Memorial Hospital. He was born December 10, 1970 in Marlboro County, SC a son of Gilbert Locklear and the late Lucille Clark Locklear. Mr. Locklear enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. He loved raising chickens, fishing with his grandchildren and friends, dancing and being a jokester.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille C. Locklear; and a brother, Bobby Locklear.

Gilbert is survived by his father, Gilbert Locklear; a son Nicholas Coty Locklear (Ashley) of Laurel Hill, NC; two daughters, Jessica Lyne Locklear King (Zachary) of Maxton, NC, and Brittany Watts (Chris) of Laurinburg, NC; three sisters, Nicole Locklear (Sherri Ransom), Lucinda Jones (James), and Christie Smith; three nieces, Shannon Baker (Walter), Ashley Roberts (John), and Hailie Ransom; three nephews, David Lee, Richard Dion Quick, and Kevin Ransom; five grandchildren, Bella, Landen, Lydia, Xavion, and Benjamin.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Rogers Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Rogers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Priest Cemetery in McColl, SC.
