James Edward Lee, Sr. age 61 of McColl, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at his residence.

James was born April 7, 1961 in Bennettsville. He was a son of John Franklin Lee and the late Helen Joyce Oxendine. James proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a former truck driver. He retired from North American Van Lines. James also enjoyed going fishing. Most of all, James loved his time with his family.

In addition to his mother, James was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessie Lee.

James is survived by his loving wife, Dollie Driggers Lee of the home; James Edward Lee II (Chelsey) of Bennettsville, and Christopher Thomas Lee of Hopkinsville, Ky; a brother, Danny Ray Lee of McColl; a sister, Donna Hailey of McColl; his grandchildren, Nevaeh Cheyenne Lee and Jessie James Lee; several other extended family members.

The service arrangements for James will remain private.
