James Edward Treff “Happy Feet”, age 56 of McColl, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at his residence. \

James was born May 1, 1967, in Laurinburg, NC. He was a son of the late Ronnie and Cathy Quick. James worked as a painter. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing darts. Most of all, James enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his siblings.

James is survived by his daughters, Jessica Waite (Jonathan) and Britney Treff (Alan Figueroa); his grandchildren, Natalie Treff, Joshua Figueroa, Ariel Figueroa, and James Waite; a niece, Brandy Justice; numerous other extended family members and friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Rogers Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.
