James "Jimmy" Gary Jacobs

Mr. James "Jimmy" Gary Jacobs passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence after a sudden illness. He was 46 years old.

Jimmy was born in Bennettsville, SC on February 22, 1979, to Denver Jacobs and Teresa Montoya Quick. He attended Pee Dee Chapel Baptist Church. He enjoyed having fun, helping people, watching Football, The Buffalo Bills, spending time with his nephews, family, and he loved his children, Matthew and Joselyn. He will be known for giving an extra chance at life to many, by donating his organs as he went home to be with Jesus.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; mother, Teresa Montoya Quick (Johnny); father, Denver Jacobs (Linda); stepmother, Glenda Locklear; son, Matthew Jacobs; daughter, Joselyn Jacobs; brother, Johnny Quick and Michael Jacobs; sister, Anna Jacobs and Whitney Hunt; numerous nieces and nephews; special nephew, Dalton Jacobs; special friend, Dovie Locklear.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Driggers Jacobs.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Pee Dee Chapel Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Russ Goins, with burial at Roselawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2-3pm at the church just prior to the service.
