Mrs. JoAnn Johnson Clapper, 73, passed away, Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Mission Trail Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX.

Mrs. JoAnn was born in Bennettsville, SC on November 1, 1946 to Mrs. Leona Scott Johnson and the late Laurin Johnson, Sr. She enjoyed her canine companion Bud, and spending time with her family, especially, her grandchildren.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; husband, Leroy Dale Clapper; son, John Clapper (Dawn Cruz); daughters, Judy Clapper (Tommy Moczygemba) and Tammy Gonzales (Roque Gonzales, Jr.); mother, Leona Scott Johnson; grandchildren, Eric Gonzales, Mariea Gonzales, Jonathan Gonzales, and Kyle Clapper; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Brenda Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father listed above; brothers, Charles Tony Johnson, Jackie Wayne Johnson, Sr., Jimmy Franklin Johnson, Sr., and Laurin Johnson, Jr.

A private graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Rogers Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Rogers Williams.
