Mr. John “Johnny” Everett Grooms passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at his residence after an illness. He was 73 years old.

Mr. Johnny was born in McColl on March 6, 1947 to the late John Thomas and Beulah Caulder Grooms. He attended United Christian Faith Church in McColl. He enjoyed NASCAR, farming, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his; wife, Gracie Grooms; sons, Chad Everette Grooms (Lisa), Christopher John Grooms ( Joanna), and James Patrick Grooms (Mary); brother, Bill Groom (Rebecca); sister, Annie Ruth Clark (Jimmy); 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; son John Thomas “Tommy” Grooms; sisters, Dorothy Milligan, Frances Goins, and Shirley Coyle; brother, James Thomas “JT” Grooms.

A graveside service will be held 2pm Monday, August 3, 2020 at Rogers Cemetery.
