Kevin Wayne Locklear, age 40 of McColl, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at his residence.
Kevin was born August 13, 1983, in Bennettsville. He was a son of Jay Prevatte and Rebecca Locklear. Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and drag racing. He was always willing to help people. Most of all, Kevin loved spending time with his family.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Rebecca Locklear of the home; his father, Jay Prevatte & step mother Donna Locklear of McColl; his brothers, Christopher Prevatte (Whitney) of Clio, Jonathan Prevatte (Jamie) of Clio, and William Prevatte of McColl; sisters, April Locklear of Clio, Denise Prevatte and Melissa Prevatte, both of McColl; special nephews, Gavin Adams and Jacob Locklear; special friends, Jose` and Abrieana Covington, both of McColl; several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Mt. Elem Freewill Baptist Church cemetery in Clio. The family will receive friends at the graveside.
